Cheryl began her musical training at a young age, studying piano and violin. However, after attending a harp concert, she fell in love with the harp’s unique sound and was determined to master the instrument. She studied with some of the world’s most renowned teachers, including Grammy Award winning harpist Alice Chalifoux and former National Symphony harpist Jeanne Chalifoux.  Cheryl is known for her expressive artistry, rich, warm sound, and elegant presentation. Drawing on classical and contemporary influences, Cheryl performs her extensive repertoire on an exquisite gold Gothic harp-it’s graceful curves and rippling harmonies producing a serene, captivating sound.

She has appeared at many  Washington, D.C. venues, including  the Kennedy Center, Arena, Stage, Strathmore, the Smithsonian Institution and Library of Congress.  Cheryl  regularly performs with the Washington Sinfonietta and other distinguished orchestras.  As guest concert soloist she has performed in Europe, South Africa, Australia and Asia.  Under the direction of noted choreographer Momo Kadous, she toured Germany as solo harpist with the internationally renowned Arabeska dance theater. She takes special delight in meeting audience members in faraway lands who say they have enjoyed one of her televised performances on the Hope Channel.

Cheryl is active with the American Harp Society’s Washington, D.C. chapter, and served as chapter president for six years.
